Let Go (For A While)

On an angled street with a grit gray place
Gravel that she walks on tried to slow her pace
Second thoughts try to chase her away
But with nowhere to go she had no choice but to stay

She walked through the door and the colors changed
A handful of people without any names
Sat by the piano with an awkward smile
And the notes she played kept her company for a while

If she could just sit alone for a while
Yet nothing happens when you just sit alone for a while
For a while...

But then her music played and everybody was dancing
With their hands in the air she finally took her chances
All of her dreams in the words that she sang
Saying let go she could do anything

A friendly glance was all it took
And the music stirred in just one look
People she knew cause' they were all the same
Their dreams in their hands and their worlds to changce

They couldn't fade away for a while
Nothing changes if they just fade away for a while
For a while…

And then their music played and everybody was dancing
With their hands in the air she finally took her chances
All of their dreams in the words that she sang
Saying let go they could do anything

All the people she once met, put her shine to shame
With her hands in her pockets she'd never do the same
So much pressure made her voice run away
But then the music played...

But then her music played and everybody was dancing
With their hands in the air they finally took some chances
All of their dreams in the words that she sang
Saying let go you could do anything
But then the music played
But then the music played
Everybody was dancing
Everybody took chances
