Grown Ups (Lyrics)

There once was a little girl who believed in fairy tales
Scattered all around her now is ashes and imagination
Longing for the days where dreams were real
And every thing else was just a nightmare revalation

Two plus two used to equal the sky
Now limitations push her down
To days of dull and dry
Happiness and laughter was never a chore
But smiles don't come easily to grown ups anymore...

No longer little girls, but princesses in towers still remain
Trapped by doubts and worries, enoughs and hurry hurries
Chivalry died and a prince will never come
Reality's just lined with lies, no time for games and fun

Two plus two used to equal the sky
Now limitations push her down
To days of dull and dry
Happiness and laughter was never a chore
But smiles don't come easily to grown ups anymore...

Childhood memories
Butterflies and bumblebees
Kisses that lay on scraped knees
All drift away
Appreciate the finer things
Fancy cars and diamond rings
Idle hands have lots to bring
That drain life away.

Two plus two used to equal the sky
Now limitations push her down
To days of dull and dry
Happiness and laughter was never a chore
But smiles don't come easily to grown ups anymore...
No smiles don't come easily for me anymore...
